Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Launchwell (“Launchwell,” “we,” “us”) handles information in connection with the Launchwell mobile application and related parent-facing services. It is written for parents and caregivers. It is not legal advice and does not create warranties beyond what applicable law requires.
1. Who Launchwell is for
Launchwell is a strictly parent-facing life-skills coaching app. Children may participate in lessons that a parent or caregiver leads, but children are not intended to operate Launchwell independently. There is no separate child login or Child Mode.
The parent or caregiver controls the account, child profiles used for coaching context, navigation, purchases, subscription, advertising exposure (when applicable), and privacy settings.
2. Information we process
Depending on how you use Launchwell, we may process:
- Parent account information — for example identifiers associated with Google sign-in / Firebase Authentication when you link an account.
- Child profile coaching context — minimized on-device profile details such as a display name and age band used to personalize parent-led lessons. These are coaching contexts under the parent account, not independent child accounts.
- Lesson progress and app preferences — stored to support coaching continuity.
- Purchase / entitlement signals — related to Launchwell Premium via Google Play Billing (server-verified entitlement where implemented).
- Technical and diagnostic data — limited operational data needed to run the service (for example device/app technical signals used by platform providers).
- Advertising / privacy-choice signals for free users — when ads are enabled, Google’s advertising and consent tooling may process device and privacy-choice information as described by Google.
We design child-related fields to be minimized for coaching. Curriculum age bands (for example 3–17) describe lesson content, not a claim that children are independent app operators.
3. How we use information
- Provide parent-led lessons, progress, and Guided Audio features.
- Authenticate parent accounts and sync linked product data where that feature is enabled.
- Process Launchwell Premium purchases and unlock Premium benefits (including Guided Audio access and an ad-free experience).
- Show restrained advertising to free-tier users at approved parent-facing transitions, subject to privacy/consent rules.
- Respond to privacy and support requests you send to us.
- Maintain security, integrity, and reliability of the service.
4. Service providers and platforms
Launchwell relies on third-party platforms that process data under their own terms and privacy policies, including as applicable:
- Google Firebase — Authentication, Firestore, and Cloud Storage for account, sync, and Guided Audio delivery features where enabled.
- Google Play Billing — subscription purchase and related Play commerce processing.
- Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads — advertising for free users.
- Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) / Privacy & Messaging — privacy choice and consent messaging where required or configured.
- Cloudflare — hosting of this public legal website.
We do not operate Launchwell’s production infrastructure by selling your personal information as a standalone product. Platform providers may process data as independent controllers or processors according to their roles and your region’s rules.
5. Advertising
- Free-tier users may see restrained interstitial ads at approved parent-facing between-lesson transitions after completion feedback.
- Launchwell Premium is ad-free (no ad request, preload, or display while Premium is active).
- Ads are not shown inside active lesson content, during Guided Audio playback, or as interruptions of narration.
- Ads are not shown on Welcome, Home browsing alone, transcript/settings/purchase flows, or other protected surfaces described in our product policy.
- Production ad requests require applicable privacy/consent readiness (UMP). Unresolved or denied consent states fail closed to no ads.
- Launchwell does not treat curriculum age bands alone as automatic “child-directed” ad labeling; final Play/AdMob declarations are configured in Google’s consoles by the publisher.
6. Privacy choices
Where Google’s Privacy & Messaging / UMP requires it, Launchwell may present consent or privacy messages and may offer an in-app entry point such as Privacy and cookie settings so you can revisit choices. Those interfaces are provided by Google’s tooling; Launchwell does not invent substitute legal consent text.
7. Data retention
We retain account, progress, and related service data for as long as needed to provide Launchwell, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. When you delete your Launchwell account, we delete or de-identify Launchwell-held account data according to our deletion process and technical limits described on the Delete account page.
8. Account deletion
You may request deletion of your Launchwell account in-app or by emailing support@launchwell.cc. See Delete your Launchwell account for steps and important limits.
- Deleting your Launchwell account is not the same as deleting your Google Account.
- Deleting your Launchwell account does not automatically cancel a Google Play subscription; manage subscription cancellation in Google Play.
- A device that remains offline may temporarily retain old local app data until it reconnects or you clear local app storage.
9. Children’s privacy
Launchwell is directed to parents and caregivers. Children participate only in parent-led sessions. We do not offer independent child accounts. If you believe we have collected information inconsistently with this policy, contact privacy@launchwell.cc.
10. International and regional notes
Depending on where you live, privacy laws may give you rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing, or to object to certain uses. Some advertising regions require consent tooling (for example EEA/UK/Switzerland and certain US state regimes supported by Google’s Privacy & Messaging). Use in-app privacy options where available, or email us.
